After some years in Amsterdam, Hogne moved back to Norway to play and teach at the prestigious NTNU jazz conservatory “Jazzlinja”.

Pianist Hogne Kleiberg writes music inspired by his synestethic color associations to melodies, harmonies, rhythms and extracts from his many years of dream journaling. Together with his trio, they present a fresh and refined expression with impulses from post-bop, impressionism and hip-hop, and join the ranks of very exciting young piano trios on the Norwegian jazz scene today. The debut record "Oransje" was released on the up-and-coming record company Fjordgata Records in April 2024. Record number two will be recorded during the spring of 2025

"Kleiberg has written all the music. It is exceptionally melodic and invites us into a realm of sound where I get associations with masters like Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner. Kleiberg has both the lyrical air Evans was an exponent of and the strength and expressiveness Tyner was a master of." "I want more - much more from Hogne Kleiberg."
